When we dream about true inclusivity and welcome, we must also listen to our heart and to the hearts of those we hope to serve.
Did you know…
  • That up to 40% of people attending weekly services at Bradford UU cannot hear some or all of what is said? 
  • Several members and friends have stopped attending regularly because of difficulty hearing?
  • Our sound technicians often bring in equipment from home to supplement our sanctuary sound system?
  • Folks with hearing aids have extra difficulty hearing in church?
The good news…
  • A new, state-of-the-art sound system is readily available and can be installed in a matter of days.
  • The proposed sound system will include a “Loop” which will allow attendees to listen to the service directly through their own hearing aids.
  • Our 150th Anniversary Fund is set up to collect donations to cover the costs of upgrading our sound system and has already raised $10,000+ towards our $25,000 goal.
  • Once we pay for the system and installation additional proceeds will go directly to our endowment, ensuring our financial security for years to come.
What we’re asking for…
  • 100% member participation in the fund at one of the three following levels:
                Level I: Ensemble: Gifts of $1.50 - $999
                Level II: Orchestra: Gifts of $1,000 - $4,999
                Level III: Composers: Gifts of $5,000 and up
  • All donations/pledges to be paid no later than November 2019.
Donors will be recognized for their contributions with new congregational name badges and a permanent listing to be installed in the sanctuary.  As we celebrate our past, we thank you for your generous investment in the future of Bradford UU!
