Rhys-Maxwell Barnes joined the Bradford UU team in 2025. He was born in Jiangxi, China, and raised in Champaign, Illinois. Rhys earned degrees in Music Education and Performance from Eastern Illinois University and currently works as the Music Teacher at Jack Benny Middle School in Waukegan, Illinois.

In his free time, Rhys-Maxwell enjoys playing video games, creating digital art, and participating in Dungeons & Dragons campaigns.

He will be playing keyboard at upcoming services and is excited to collaborate with Bradford UU’s talented musicians!
